Quick Ten and a Recipe

It's one of those busy days that started way to early in the morning!  I had scheduled a doctor's appointment at seven this morning because I was far to sick to make it to my originally scheduled appointment Monday.  Well, I was still to sick to make it this morning so I'll call tomorrow to reschedule again.  I'm so ready to be done with all this sickness!  Since I'm still not better, we'll make this quick with a fast ten and a recipe, then I'm outta here!
  1. I've lost all the extra weight I packed on while taking the countless rounds of steroids I was on a few months back.  Yay!
  2. Kevin had his first appointment with a new pain specialist today.  I guess the specialist could not understand how Kevin suffered a SCI a the level he has on his back.  He couldn't understand what the doctor who tried to place a nerve cord stimulator was trying to do at that level.  When Kevin told him they tried to tell him he had had a stroke, the guy wanted to know why no cardiac or neuro consult or work up.  Kevin said, that has been our question all along.  Another medical professional with the same concerns we all had.  Interesting. 
  3. I'm seriously considering starting to look for a new family doctor.
  4. It's super cloudy outside and it feels like it should be raining but it's not yet.  It's nice and cool though!
  5. 2017 is flying by! 
  6. Food doesn't taste good anymore.  Only things I can drink taste best.  I made burritos/tacos for dinner and normally I'm good with that, not anymore.  I'd rather have a smoothie or Popsicles and my throat isn't sore anymore.
  7. I've made the switch from Mucinex DM to Advil Cold and Sinus.  I'm hoping the change will stop this madness once and for all.  If I'm not slightly better by tomorrow I'm off to the doctor again to demand an antibiotic or something to get rid of this stuff.  Enough already!  Arg!  
  8. I've got a thousand phone calls to make or return.  
  9. Time to settle down and watch some TV or a movie.
  10. I feel like baking, but my body says NO!!!
I want to try to bake Orange Rolls.  They look pretty yummy and super easy.  Here's the recipe....

Orange Rolls

1/2 cup warm water
3 Tbsp. Yeast
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup warm water
1/2 cup shortening
2 tsp. Salt
3 eggs
4 1/2 cups flour

Soften yeast in 1/2 cup warm water and set to the side. Mix sugar, water, shortening, salt, and eggs together.  Add yeast mixture.  Beat in the flour.  Dough will be soft and sticky.  Refrigerate overnight in a covered container.  Make sure that the bowl is large enough for the bread to rise in.  About 3 hours before serving time, roll dough on well floured board into a large rectangle.  Cover with a generous amount of melted butter.  Sprinkle with sugar and grate orange peel over the dough.  Starting on the long edge, roll the dough into a long roll.  Slice the roll to fit into muffin tins.  Let rise until quite high.  Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown.  (12-15 minutes).  Makes about 2 dozen rolls.  Grease pans generously.  Always double this recipe!
