A Meme, HIVES, and a Few Rambling Thoughts.

I'm beginning to think these darn hives will never go away.  I woke up this morning feeling itchy and I had a little trouble breathing.  Not exactly a comforting feeling to say the least.  I went into the bathroom where it was nice and bright with the light on and I learned quickly why I was feeling the way I was feeling....the hives were everywhere!
I'm racking my brain to figure out what causes me to have the hives.  Here are my thoughts.....
  1. Something topical I put on my skin that I have used every single day that now is effecting me.
  2. Something I've eaten
  3. Something I wear like clothing or possibly even jewelry.
  4. Something bit me and keeps biting me.
  5. Allergies to something I do not know of.  (time to have a scratch test, Yay Me!)
  6. Stress at home.
  7. Stress from not being at work.  We need my income.
  8. Stress thinking about going back to work.  Meaning I'm worried about what happens if the hives come back and how do I deal with that at work.
These are just a few of the things I've thought of.  I'm sure there are other reasons this could be happening, but you get the idea.  That's enough talk about my hives.  Let's move on to something new.

My fabulous card friend surprised me last night with another one of her famous cards.  She has a gift for rhyming.  It seems to come naturally for her.  I love it!  I wish I had that gift.  Here is the card she left me.

Sorry this photo is so fuzzy.

My friend always fills the card with a cute rhyme and fun stickers.  I don't know how she does it.  I was so surprised and she even snuck in and dropped it off at the exact time Curtis left the house with the car.  If she knocked on the  door we certainly didn't hear her.  She was sneaky, that Bev friend of mine.  I truly am blessed to count Bev as my friend.  She always brightens my day whenever I see her.  She so happy and so fun.  I just love her.  ~smile~smile~

Yesterday I said I was going to have kids take all the things over last night to my neighbor wanted to borrow for her son's wedding, but she had company and I didn't want to interrupt.  It was Family Night so I thought it would be better to do it tonight.  So I had Curtis loaded up with the boxes of lights and then he came back with two helpers to grab all the wood slices we have.  I think it's going to look really pretty when she gets it all done Thursday night.  From what I understand the dinner is going to be more like a mini ward party just with all of their family.  When I talked to my neighbor she said they had 200 people all family that were planning on going to it.  Those are big families for sure!  So, if all is well here at home that night I might pop in to help serve or something.  After all, my neighbor and several other neighbors pulled off a miracle to help me in the kitchen at Danielle's wedding reception.  I couldn't have done it without her help.  The least I could do is go and help her with their dinner, right?!!

Let's do a Meme.......

1.  What was your dream growing up?

I had many dreams growing up, but the one that lasted was my dream to become a wife and mother.  I always wanted to be a stay at home mother too.  I guess that just wasn't meant to be.  I always had a dream to have a beautiful home and like most young adults I started out thinking I was going to do everything the so called, "right" way.  HA!  Well, I did become a wife and mother.  Not a stay at home mother like I always wanted, but we can't always get everything we want, right???

2.  What talent do you wish you had?

I would love to learn to play the piano and have a beautiful singing voice.  I sing now, but I don't consider my voice one of those absolutely beautiful voices.  My voice is strong and just average, if you ask me.  I wouldn't mind taking a few singing lessons to improve it.  Maybe someday.

3.  If I bought you a drink what would it be?

Either a Sprite or a Sprite with Cran-Apple juice in it.  I love that!

4.  What was the last book you read?

These Memes always ask that question.  It was the Book of Mormon.  I don't have much free time to read, so I reserve that time for my scriptures.  I did download the audio book, The Shack, but that was on my iPhone.  I need to move it (if I can) to my new phone so I can finish it.  Kyle took off with my old phone.  I'll have to track it down first though.

5.  Worst Habit?

I'd say biting my nails and procrastination.

6.  If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?

Only if I knew you well.  It's been drummed into my head over a lifetime that it's really not smart for a woman alone to pick up someone along the side of any road for safety reasons.  (I have NEVER picked up any stranger EVER, and probably never will.)

7.  What is your favorite sport?

To watch?  Basketball or Hockey.  To play?  I didn't play many sports when I was younger.  I played a little softball, but not super well.  I was on the swim team, but I couldn't do the butterfly stroke well at all.  I'd say I had lots of room for improvement there, that's for sure.  So, if I were to play a sport now it would probably be volleyball or tennis, but I would be a little rusty and need some practice.

8.  What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me?

I guess it would depend on where we were and how hot it was in the elevator.  It can get super hot in some elevators without air conditioning here in Arizona during the summer.  It can literally become a life or death situation if left for to long.  SO, if it was an air conditioned elevator I would probably sit down on the floor and try to pass the time talking and just trying to keep things light.  If it was in a hot elevator I'd still sit and just talk to and try using my phone or the phone inside the elevator to get some help while I tried not to panic.

9.  Worst thing to ever happen to you?

Family Feuds......And that's all I've got to say about that.

10.  Tell me one weird fact about you.
I have to sleep with a cold pillow every night.  The colder the better.  It just feels better on my head at night.

11.  What if I showed up at your house unexpectedly?
You might not find me home.  I work full-time, and if we are home, we just might be sleeping or not fully dressed.  I tend to fling the bra as soon as I get home.  I hate that thing!  Especially during the summer.  If I'm home and awake I'd invite you in for a visit, once the dogs were put out back.

12.  If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?

My weight.  I'd like to lose a few pounds.

13.  Would you be my crime partner or my conscience?

Oh, I'd probably be your conscience.  I do not do well with breaking the law.  I might turn into the wrong lane while driving, but that's as far as I will go when it come to breaking the law.  As I always say, it just isn't worth it.

14.  Ever been arrested?

No!

15.  If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it?

Pay some bills and maybe spend a tiny bit on the family.

16.  Favorite thing to do in your spare time?

It use to be doing crafty type things, but not as much anymore.  Now, I spend a little time watching shows on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, when I have some free time.

17.  Biggest pet peeve?

Oh, I guess with all the time I spend on the roads it would have to be stupid drivers.  That covers a lot of territory.

18.  In one word, how would you describe yourself.

Stressed!

19.  Do you believe in/appreciate romance?

Yes, of course I do.  Who doesn't???!!!
Tonight we have been helping Lexi get ready for her next upcoming tests at school.  She has a big history and government test next.  It's been fun to have her ask us questions and try to answer them.  It's sparked several conversations about all kinds of things from Roe vs. Wade to the differences between the Democratic and Republican Parties, and all kinds of other things.  All in one night.  She's almost done.  I can hardly believe it.  My last child done with school and moving on the college.  It's a strange feeling for all of us.  Parents and child alike.

Well, I should get going.  Take care and we will talk again soon.
