New Moon Monday!!!

Two things I Am Grateful For:

1). Cooler weather.  I love it a little cooler, even if it might have caused my recent sickness.  I prefer a little chill in the air to sweatball city any day!

2). Good friends who always help to lift me up and encourage me along the way.  It means so much!

From the Camera:

This is Lexi and her friend Chrisin.  The  friend I mentioned in a previous post.  The friend Lexi did the sign language stuff with at a baptism Saturday.  These two have a lot of fun together.  This was taken at the temple during Christmas time.  They went and walked around looking at the lights.

From the Heart:

"No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted." -Aesop

If you keep your eyes open, you’ll discover that kindness is all around us. A man giving up his seat to a stranger on a bus…a child comforting her little brother…a birthday card you got from a friend…Keep track of the kindness in your life by keeping a journal or a blog. Write about the ways you have been kind to people and about how others have been kind to you.

Writing about kindness will help you think in a more positive way. You’ll be surprised how much easier it is to be kind, when you’re make an effort to think about kindness all the time!

Step It Up

Commit to doing one kind thing for someone different every day for an entire year! Document your journey of kindness in a blog, which will hopefully encourage other people to be kind too.

Keep It Simple

Start a personal journal to document every kind thing that takes place in your life. Make sure you write in it at least once a week!

From the Spirit:

President Uchtdorf said: “God loves you this very day and always. He is not waiting to love you until you have overcome your weaknesses and bad habits. He loves you today with a full understanding of your struggles. … He knows of your remorse for the times you have fallen short or failed. And still He loves you. … He wants you to achieve your destiny—to return to your heavenly home in honor.”3

God will continue to help you. Even if you don’t achieve your goals perfectly, you’ll still grow from the effort of trying to get there! Whatever progress you make leaves you better than before you started. And if you miss your goal, don’t get discouraged; just start again where you left off. Look to Heavenly Father and to others who love you for support.

From the Schmidt's:

Did you see it??!!!  As I was driving to work this morning the full moon was all bright and shiny up in the sky.  It was so pretty!  The sky was clear and the moon glowed like a beacon in the night.  It was awesome, especially with the sun coming up in the east.  I love mornings like this.

As you can tell by my comment above, I am back at work finally!  Still a bit stuffy and congested, but much much better!  I am so glad to get back to my normal routine again.  Feeling like I did is never fun.

The kids are all back to school today too.  Lexi was thrilled (ha ha) to get back to her routine.  She is excited to see her friends, just not ready for the school work again.

Kyle started a new job last week.  He works 4 ten hour days.  It isn't his ideal job, but it will work for now.  This job will work out great for school too.  Now all Kyle needs to do is sign up for classes.

Kevin is at home resting.  Curtis is there with him and doing a few chores around the house for me.  Other than that, all is quiet on the home front.  Knock on wood.

I hope this new year brings great things for all of you.  Take care and we will talk again soon.
